Z5-Pete PosterThis zone is responsible for keeping you upright and moving; its organs include 637+muscles, tendons, joints, ligaments and bones. When working properly this zone replaces the muscle and skeletal cells for you, giving you a new musculoskeletal system every 7 years. 

Most people neglect to exercise their body, creating an unhealthy muscular zone. A disturbance in this zone creates chronic pain and stiffness in joints, asymmetry in the musculature, weakness in muscles and/or muscle spasms. Accidents, falls, or physical traumas also cause improper nerve communication to your muscles and joints. 

On an emotional level, when you get angry, many muscles in the body contract. Since your muscle structure affects all other systems of the body, this causes poor elimination, digestion, circulation, and glandular function.

Physical, mental, or chemical stress can cause a disturbance in the brain center as well as a spinal misalignment or subluxation in the muscular nerve channels. This disturbance interferes with the proper brain/nerve signals traveling to your musculoskeletal system, creating a multitude of diseases and problems.

Balancing Zone 5…

Zone 5 is the most common zone for chiropractors because it encompasses the muscle and skeletal systems. To balance this zone,  Dr. Nilles will perform a zone 5 specific adjustment as well as inform you, the patient, what you should expect from that treatment. Dr. Nilles will hand you a Zone 5 Sheet, describing exactly what you should be looking for as a result of this very specific adjustment.  It’s best to read this sheet just prior to bedtime. When the questions on the sheet answer “yes”, please return it to the office. 

Balancing this zone usually takes 10-12 visits over a 4 week period of time. It’s like working out; if you exercise once, you can’t expect to drop 10 pounds or run a 5K immediately. Balancing this zone takes some time, and it takes adjustments.
